A Predator ship arrives on the planet that would be known in the future by humans as LV-1201.

2 (2)

A lone Ancient Predator leaves the ship on an average hunt hoping to explore and hunt game on the planet, encountering a verdant world, full of dangerous prey including carnivorous, moose-like creatures; hulking, bipedal reptiles capable of disguising themselves as part of the terrain; and wormlike organisms that attack from underground. During the hunt the Ancient Predator comes across Aliens, the Predator fights them and follows the creatures deeper into their Hive, discovering it builded around ruins of an ancient civilization, finding a strange object built by those Pilots.

The Artifact is currently disabled when he gets to the Artifact Chamber so he looks for a way to activate it. After killing the aliens guarding the Artifact Activation Device, he presses a few buttons and pulls levers and the Artifact is energized.

4 (2)

Just as the Artifact is enabled, an invisible force-field is also activated, preventing Aliens from coming anywhere near it and killing those that do.

5 (2)

Eight months later, the Predators have built a hunting base camp around the Artifact from which they launch hunts deeper into the Hive.

6 (3)

The Predator descends, with some clan mates, deeper into the Hive, in search of the Xenomorph Queen. However, an alarm from the facility cuts their hunt short. The Predators return to the facility to find it overrun by Xenomorphs; the Artifact has been powered down, allowing them access.

The Ancient Predator fights through hordes of Xenomorphs, hoping to restores power to the Artifact by activating the stasis fields, areas constructed by the Pilots to keep bays of Xenomorph Eggs from hatching, while the surviving Predators attempts to fight through the facility. He is able to activate two stasis fields from the upper computer and the last one is damaged, forcing him to manually repair one field generator from bellow.

Just after fixing the generator, the Ancient Predator is attacked by a Facehugger, and both are trapped in the newly-activated field. The artifact is reactivated and the area is eventually abandoned by both Aliens and Predators, the Aliens becoming unable to reach it due to the force-field and all the Predators involved in the battle die.

– 1800s

Sheriff Johnny Anderson goes out on patrol around the small Oregon town of Coyote Creek and bumps into Wallace McBurnie and his gang; Anderson had once been a member of the gang of outlaws, but left to pursue a more honest life when he became tired of McBurnie’s violence. McBurnie reveals that he has come to town to recruit Anderson, the best safe-cracker he knows, for a job he has planned in Malheur County. Anderson refuses, making it clear he is prepared to use his gun if McBurnie does not like his answer, but the gang leaves, McBurnie telling Anderson he will give him “some time to think on that”.

Concerned that incident is not over, Anderson goes to seek the advice of Lars Nielssen, an ageing rancher and sheriff’s deputy who had been the first to give Anderson lawful employment upon his leaving McBurnie’s gang. Agreeing the gang will likely be back, Lars accompanies Anderson back to town as backup. However, upon returning to Coyote Creek, they find that McBurnie’s men have returned in their absence and kidnapped Anderson’s daughter, Mina.

Anderson and Lars track McBurnie’s men to their camp, set up on a readily defensible spit of land surrounded on three sides by a creek. As the pair withdraw to plan their assault, they hear a scream from the camp, followed by much shooting and commotion. They see strange flashes of blue light and men running in terror, and the pair quickly become separated in the chaos. Anderson moves towards his daughter, reaching her just in time to see her and McBurnie become caught in some kind of net and get hauled away across the creek.

Surveying the carnage in the aftermath of the confrontation, Anderson finds damage apparently caused by the flashes of light he saw, including one that has drilled clean through Lars and the man he had been grappling with, killing them both. Anderson also finds that one of McBurnie’s men, a young Native American named Billy Novak, has survived the slaughter. Realizing Novak is an expert tracker and disillusioned with McBurnie’s tyranny just as he had been, Anderson offers to pay him to help track and find his daughter. Reluctantly, Novak agrees. As they leave, they find another of McBurnie’s men, mortally wounded, who lives just long enough to tell them he was attacked by a “ghost”.

Following the trail left by the net, the pair find the huge footprints of whatever was responsible for the abduction, noticing it was too large to be human. As they press on, Anderson realizes their target is heading straight for the Nielssen ranch, where Lars’ family will be driving their cattle later that day. Upon reaching the Nielssens’ property, they see Eva riding towards them. She suddenly disappears from sight, but before Anderson can make sense of it, he runs into an invisible object and knockes himself unconscious.

When Anderson comes around, the group discovers the cause for the event: there is an invisible ship in the field, and the tracks that Novak had been following seemingly disappear into it. Unable to deduce a way into the invisible vessel, Novak comes up with the idea of stampeding Eva’s cattle into it, hoping to knock it over and thereby damage it and render it visible. With no better plan, they drive the cattle into the ship by setting a fire, the stampede damaging its cloak and making it visible. The Predator pilot inside emerges and opens fire on the cattle with its energy weapon.

Rushing inside the vessel through the open hatch, Anderson and Novak discover bloody human trophies, including skulls and spines torn cleanly from their victims, and soon locate McBurnie trapped inside a crate. As he begs them for help, Anderson finds his scared but unharmed daughter hiding in a dark corner. At that moment, the Predator returns, climbing aboard but seemingly failing to notice them hiding in the cargo hold. As soon as the exit is clear, Anderson, Novak and Mina flee the ship, leaving McBurnie to his fate.

They escape moments before the vessel blasts off and disappears. Reunited with Eva outside, Anderson considers the events he has experienced but resolves simply that he is glad he and his daughter have survived. Considering Novak’s future, he offers the young man a job as his deputy.

1933

Tommy Warrington and his twin sister Annie live with their aunt Mary and uncle Jack on their ranch in Montana, having been orphaned at a young age. Their adoptive parents are harsh and overbearing, Tommy is frequently the target of Mary’s abuse and Jacks’ beatings, and he worries for his sister.

He is called by Mary who tells him that his uncle is an hour late returning from the far pasture where he has been working. As he heads out into the approaching night, he is joined by Annie, who has snuck out of the house. She tells him she hopes to find the shooting star she saw fall from the sky two days previously. Tommy agrees and the pair make for the pasture where their uncle has been working.

Not long after setting off, they discover the mutilated body of a cougar, disemboweled and decapitated, its head nowhere to be found. They also find several rattlesnakes that have been similarly cut open and beheaded. As if on cue, they hear a roar in the night, and, fearing it may be whatever is responsible for the slaughtered animals, rush to find their uncle, who they know carries a rifle whenever he is out in the pastures.

Reaching the boundary fence, Tommy and Annie discover their uncle suffered a similar fate as the animals they came across. Fearing whatever was responsible and dreading what his aunt will do to him now that his uncle is dead, Tommy considers fleeing with his sister, but at that moment she sees her shooting star, a glowing object lying in the scrub nearby. Before he can stop her, she runs over to it. Tommy follows, and they are confronted by a Predator and see the severed heads of Jack and the cougar clutched in its hand, believing to be The Devil himself.

As the Devil stares down at them, Tommy steps between it and his sister, hoping to save her; when the monstrous figure does not attack, Tommy realizes it has no interest in killing them because: unlike the cougar, the snakes and the armed uncle Jack; they are not dangerous and pose no threat.

Tommy tells his sister to run back to the house, before grabbing the mysterious glowing object on the ground and running after her. The Devil immediately sets off in pursuit. The two children manage to beat it back to the farm, Annie heading straight for the barn to hide. Tommy does not follow, but instead bursts into the house, startling his aunt. Ignoring her demands for an explanation, he hurls the strange device he carries at her, then dives beneath the table for shelter. Before Mary can reach him, the Devil enters the room. As Tommy hides, he hears Mary fire at it with the shotgun kept by the fireplace, then screaming, and finally silence.

When Tommy dares to look, his aunt is dead, and the Devil is standing over him, kicking the shotgun on his direction for him to use against it. When he makes no attempt to move or attack the Predator, it mutters to him in an its language, then left. When he reunites with his sister, Tommy is relieved that they are now free of their abusive aunt and uncle, but acknowledges the fact that he is just as responsible for Mary’s death as the creature that butchered her. He also realizes the Devil now knows he is a sinner, just like his aunt and uncle, and may well return for him one day.

In response to persistent rumors of a Viet Cong POW camp somewhere in the jungles of Quảng Trị Province, a Marine Corps Force Recon squad is dispatched to sweep the area for signs of enemy activity. The five-man squad consists of Lieutenant Matthew Byrne, Sergeant Daniel Roland, Lance Corporal Scott Pearson, John Coffren and Bill Leisner.

36 hours into their two-day patrol, the group is ambushed by a much larger Viet Cong force; in the midst of the ferocious firefight, Pearson is killed by a strange energy bolt. The remaining Marines overhear the Vietnamese likewise coming under attack, before the VC retreat and the jungle falls silent once more. In the aftermath, the Marines discover Byrne has also been killed, his skull and spine torn from his body.

As the Force Recon squad come to terms with the horrific and baffling events, they are watched from the treetops by Nk’mecci, a Blooded Predator dispatched to Earth to determine whether humans would make for suitably challenging prey. While his mission is primarily to observe and report, he has gladly taken the opportunity to hunt when he can, although the most recent confrontation has left him wounded and destroyed his Cloak. Nonetheless, he considers the slaying of both the American and Viet Cong commanders a worthy action, as it will now offer him a chance to see how the survivors adapt to the loss of their leadership. To this end, Roland takes charge of the Force Recon Marines. During a quick search of their fallen enemies, they discover plans for a major, seemingly nationwide upcoming offensive; while they do not understand the coded papers, they recognize their obvious importance and take them with them as the head to their prearranged helicopter extraction point.

Nk’mecci follows the Marines, watching as they walk directly towards another VC ambush, unseen in the dense jungle. However, the branch on which he is perched suddenly breaks under his weight, revealing his position to the VC before they have engaged the Marines. In the ensuing three-way confrontation, the Marines and the Hunter wipe out the VC force, while Leisner is killed by Nk’mecci, who in turn is hit in the chest by a buckshot round fired by Roland from the squad’s M79 grenade launcher. Grievously wounded, the Predator retreats, while Roland and Coffren make for the clearing from which they are due to be extracted, having heard the helicopters approaching. Considering his options, Nk’mecci realizes he needs to return to his ship to treat his wounds, but doing so would deny him the chance to hunt the two surviving Marines. Feeling that to stop the hunt now would be shameful he takes a stimulant to keep his pain at bay and sets off after the Marines.

As the two Hueys approach the clearing where the pick up is to be made, Roland and Coffren make a break for the choppers. However, Nk’mecci emerges from the jungle and opens fire on them, killing Coffren before destroying both helicopters. Roland wounds the rampaging creature once again with a grenade fired from the M79, before he is forced to take cover from one of the exploding helicopters. When he looks up, he sees the Predator standing over him and dies as the creature takes his head.

Nk’mecci later departs Earth in his ship, but realizes that he is dying from his many wounds. Despite this, he takes pride in the fact his mission is complete, satisfied that the information he has gathered will safely reach home, informing others that Earth remains a fruitful hunting ground. As he awaits death, he admires Roland’s skull, sitting cleaned and polished atop the control console in his vessel, inwardly commending his adversary’s worth.

He catches a glimpse of the camouflaged Predator but dismisses it as an effect of the extreme heat and his acrophobia. At the station, Harrigan is reprimanded by his superiors for his disobedience. He is introduced to Special Agent Peter Keyes, leader of the task force investigating the cartels, and Detective Jerry Lambert, the newest member of Harrigan’s team.

Keyes arrives and kicks Harrigan’s team out. Archuleta later returns to continue investigating. After he finds one of the Predator’s speartip weapons in an air conditioning vent, the lurking Predator kills him. Harrigan vows to bring down Danny’s killer, believing they are dealing with an assassin. Forensic analysis reveals the speartip is not composed of any known element on the periodic table.

Cantrell and Lambert take the subway to the rendezvous when the Predator, hunting Harrigan’s subordinates, suddenly attacks. Lambert faces off against the Predator and is killed. Cantrell is spared after the Predator’s scan of her body reveals that she is pregnant.  Arriving on the scene to find numerous armed civilians dead in addition to Cantrell, Harrigan chases the fleeing Predator but is intercepted by Keyes’ men.

Predator 2 62.jpg

Keyes reveals that the killer is an extraterrestrial hunter with infrared vision that uses active camouflage and has been hunting humans for sport throughout armed conflicts, most recently in Central America. Keyes and his team are part of the OWLF (Other Worldly Life Forms Program) a top-secret CIA program tasked with investigating the creatures’ incursions on Earth. One of its key aims was the live capture of a Predator specimen for study. Specifically, the OWLF hopes to gain access to the Predator’s advanced technology and weaponry. They have set a trap in a nearby slaughterhouse, using thermally insulated suits and cryogenic weapons to capture it for study.

Predator-2-spearing.png

When the Predator arrives, the trap is sprung. However, the Predator realizes something is wrong, by not being able to see anyone despite hearing their footsteps, it starts to change its mask’s vision modes, eventually reaching a mode that can scan through various electromagnetic wavelengths, identifying and locating the light from the team’s torches. The creature easily outmaneuvers and slaughters the men before wounding Keyes.

Harrigan then attacks the Predator, badly wounding it before it rallies, destroys his weapon and closes in. Harrigan is saved by the sudden reappearance of Keyes who tries to freeze the alien but is soon decapitated by its throwing disc. The Predator chases Harrigan to a roof and the two foes clash, leaving them hanging from a ledge. The alien activates a self-destruct device on its forearm which Harrigan then severs using the throwing disc, rendering the device harmless.

Enoch rushes back to base, which had just recently discovered a crashed alien spacecraft, believing to have witnessed an “Adilgashii”, (Witch). Nakai explained his experience to his superiors who advise him to keep what he saw to himself.

His superiors tell Nakai that his claim has been validated; the ship army discovered was confirmed to be a combat vessel and that Enoch more than likely had a run in with its pilot. Enoch is granted his three-day leave, despite protesting. The predator ship that was found by members of the Cole Army Base, starts being to studied on, the Predator discovering what happened to his ship activate its self-destruction.

Enoch find out about what happened to his base on the next day, watching the newsflash detailing that Cole Army Base had been destroyed by a nuclear explosion. He discovers that a sheriff and his deputy were murdered, and that the herder’s son told the news that they were killed by “blue fire”. Nakai, realizing that this was the work of the same creature that killed Dietl.

As night falls, Enoch travels through the prairies of New Mexico to Cole. He later finds a faint fire in the horizon with a figure sitting by it. He slowly approaches it, unseen, only to discover that the alien Predator is revealed to be the figure. Nakai manages to hide before it notices him. As the Predator becomes suspicious, it is suddenly attacked by a mountain Lion, giving Nakai enough time to flee to a nearby military camp, informing the camps Colonel Trench of the Predator’s whereabouts.

The city is evacuated and the military takes over, Army Corporal Enoch Nakai and a military unit lead by Colonel Trench and his second in command Major Amblin is sent to deal with the creature. In the town of Agate, New Mexico, the Predator claims it’s latest trophy before it is intercepted by Enoch in a military jeep with a rocket launcher. A small firefight ensues as the hunter manages to escape, with Major Amblin being ordered by Colonel Trench to pursue it. Enoch is ordered to stay at Agate as part of the occupying force.

RCO025_1466105326

During his patrol, he meets Dan Tilden, who wonders why the Predator didn’t use its “ray gun” after the ambush. Enoch suddenly realizes that the Predator may have a special camp where he is storing his equipment and rushes to inform colonel Trench. Trench is despondent to Nakai’s claims to call off the search party looking for the hunter and instead says he’ll order major Amblin to send out a scout for a camp.

Frustrated with his rejection, Nakai decides to steal a jeep and ride off and look for Amblin’s squad. Nakai manages to find Amblin and his men just before the Predator ambushes and slaughters them all, including Amblin. Nakai manages to escape into the bushes without being seen, slipping from the Adilgashii’s grasp once again.

The next day, Nakai traverses a massive volcanic formation in El Malpais, ready to get back at the Predator armed with an M60. Nakai rushes through the jungle towards the Predator’s position but is suddenly intercepted by a booby-trap and has his right arm impaled and seriously wounded. The Predator hears the noise and attacks. Enoch manages to briefly fend off the attacker with his M60 before it intercepts him and destroys the weapon. Enoch flees while the creature pursues him on the trees before a branch snaps and the hunter falls to the ground, allowing Nakai to escape. He deduces that the hunter did not chase after him because he was recuperating from previous injuries and hadn’t fully recovered.

RCO025_1466137019

He figures that he may be able to lure the Predator into falling into the sixty foot hole, killing it once and for all. Nakai decides to set the forest on fire to draw it out to his position. His plan was a success and the Predator comes rushing out of the trees, unloading it’s Plasmacaster into Nakai’s direction. The hunter takes the bait and follows Nakai up to the formation where he suddenly falls into the trap hole. Nakai cautiously grabs his pistol and walks over to the hole to which the Predator lunges out from the hole and grabs Nakai, overpowering him. As the Predator prepares to go in for the kill, gunshots from a distance distracts the Predator caused by the forest fire igniting the shells from Nakai’s M60, giving Nakai enough time to grab his handgun and kill the Predator.

Back at base, although Trench is thankful towards Enoch, he cannot ignore the amount of times he disobeyed orders and arranges an honorable discharge for him. He is later told by the government to keep everything he has experienced confidential. One night, Enoch’s grandfather, noticing his growing anxiety, decides to comfort him and shares a story of when Enoch’s great-grandfather also witnessed a Predator attack 75 years earlier. Nakai suggests that it could have been the same Predator that attacked him at Cole, and that the government had to cover up the event just as they did now. The next day at the station, Nakai was later approached by the mysterious man calling himself John Smith. When Enoch found out that the feds were mostly interested in the monsters’ gear, he declined their offer to join the hunt.
